Making the most out of the evening - watching the Germany game on the big screen with the German parents, while talking on Skype with the Norwegian parents, while feeding Alia.

photo story
A little photo (love) story with Alia and Erlend, you probably have to zoom in a bit to see all of Alia's emotions :-).
Erlend is back home!!!
You know what, pappa?
When you where gone...
... I was really, really sad!
But now, ...
... I am really, really happy!!!

sick and sad
After not really sleeping for two nights because baby girl is up all night due to a stuffed nose, we wish more than ever that pappa was here to make it all better or at least suffer with us :-).
He has gone to a youth missions conference in England with a few people from our youth group. Hope they are having a great time and pray that lots of young hearts get challenged this weekend.

moving once again
It is about that time again, we are moving. We have been married a bit over 2 years now and have lived in 3 countries and moved 5 times. This time it is just across town though.
I did not take any pictures of the chaos so some more baby pictures will have to suffice.

chilling with pappa when he takes a break

new in-laws
We have not held Alia a lot these past few days because we have had a lot of volunteers who lined up to cuddle with her.
My brother is getting married soon and his future family in law came to visit my family this weekend. Our families get along really well and I am so thankful to know that we will be once again related to some really cool people. My family so far has been very fortunate with every single one of the families that one of us married into - all really great people.

first international visitors
Our friends Jon and Esther came to visit us from America and it was so great to watch them meeting our daughter. Even though they are not related by blood they will always be her auntie and uncle.
We are not kidding ourselves, we know that from now on people will only visit us to see Alia.
They brought so many cool things for Alia and some "fuel" for us (Peanut butter M&Ms!!!).

got poked
Today both Erlend and I got 4 injections each. We are trying to get all our immunizations done that we need when we move to Asia in the summer. Now all of our arms hurt...

Ice hockey
Tonight we got a treat! Our friend Naemi got tickets to an Ice hockey game and generously asked us to come along. It was so much fun, great game and great atmosphere. "Our" team won 11-4!
I was reminded of one one my favorite movies as a kid that my siblings and I are still quoting lines from - Mighty Ducks - gotta watch that one again one if these days.
Danke, Naemi! und danke Mama fürs Babysitten!

soooo big
I know this sounds ridiculous but we are so proud of how big Alia has gotten. She has cracked the 4000g mark and has grown out of a lot of her clothes already.
featuring a double chin and her favorite onesie that we got from our homegroup-friends

out and about
We have had some sunshine here in the last days, which feels great after long months with hardly any. So we thought since we minus degrees are finally gone, it would be a good day to try out our Stokke carrier that we got from farfar and farmor from Norway. Alia seemed to love it, she was asleep the whole time.
Enjoying the fresh air and the lovely weather

a difference
Erlend and I are similar in many things. We both like traveling, hanging out and watching movies. But there is one thing that we are very different in. I like eating and drinking things that I know. Erlend on the other hand LOVES trying new things. When you ask him what his favorite meal is he will answer, "Something I have not tried yet."
Today he bought two new things. A fruit called Kumquat and a Lemon-Mint juice from Israel. To me that is just weird, to him it is awesome....
