easter camp

Long time no post, because we were away for a few days at a family easter camp. Beside Erlend being sick we had a great time.

I have been going to that camp since I was five years old, love the house, the people and the fellowship.

It was the first easter that I had completely new perspective on what happend on easter almost 2000 years ago - the parent perspective!
Alia was sick last week and my heart hurt as I looked at her struggling to breathe and in pain.
How much more must it have hurt God, the Father when He saw His only Son hanging on the cross, suffering, crying out, "Why have you forsaken me?"? And why? All because of us, so that we could have a relationship with Him. What a love! What a cost!

Thank you, Lord, for your love and your sacrifice!

multi-tasking

Making the most out of the evening - watching the Germany game on the big screen with the German parents, while talking on Skype with the Norwegian parents, while feeding Alia.

photo story

A little photo (love) story with Alia and Erlend, you probably have to zoom in a bit to see all of Alia's emotions :-).

Erlend is back home!!!

You know what, pappa?

When you where gone...

... I was really, really sad!

But now, ...

... I am really, really happy!!!

sick and sad

After not really sleeping for two nights because baby girl is up all night due to a stuffed nose, we wish more than ever that pappa was here to make it all better or at least suffer with us :-).

He has gone to a youth missions conference in England with a few people from our youth group. Hope they are having a great time and pray that lots of young hearts get challenged this weekend.

moving once again

It is about that time again, we are moving. We have been married a bit over 2 years now and have lived in 3 countries and moved 5 times. This time it is just across town though.

I did not take any pictures of the chaos so some more baby pictures will have to suffice.

chilling with pappa when he takes a break

or wishing peace to everybody :-)

new in-laws

We have not held Alia a lot these past few days because we have had a lot of volunteers who lined up to cuddle with her.
My brother is getting married soon and his future family in law came to visit my family this weekend. Our families get along really well and I am so thankful to know that we will be once again related to some really cool people. My family so far has been very fortunate with every single one of the families that one of us married into - all really great people.

One of the many nice ladies who Alia loved chilling out with

She also met her uncle Tschu for the first time this weekend

first international visitors

Our friends Jon and Esther came to visit us from America and it was so great to watch them meeting our daughter. Even though they are not related by blood they will always be her auntie and uncle.
We are not kidding ourselves, we know that from now on people will only visit us to see Alia.

They brought so many cool things for Alia and some "fuel" for us (Peanut butter M&Ms!!!).

they look like twins, except in the face :-)
