men's meeting

Every month the men in our neighborhood meet to discuss local politics and funds for maintenance projects. There is also a lot of smoking, chatting and snack eating going on.

Last week we were informed that it was our turn to host that meeting, so there was lots of stuff to do such as
- ordering snack boxes
- buying fruit and nuts
- borrowing glasses and mats and a big tea pot from our neighbor

all ready for the people to come - of course everybody came about half an hour to 45 minutes late, which is completely normal and exceptable here

making tea for everybody - they like it really really sweet (a big spoon of sugar for every small glas)

 all the furniture is carried out of the room because there would not be a seat for everybody otherwise. The mats are there so that people don't have to sit on the cold tiles.

Oh and if you were wondering how we are doing with all the volcano ash... we got a lot of rain the last few days, so all of the ash is gone, but we almost had a little flood...
